Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with correcting malocclusion, deriving abnormal habits, and reducing fascial-muscular tensions. Patients often do not realize that misalignment of teeth can result in ailments in distant parts of the body. It also affects proper breathing, articulation, or chewing food. Advances in orthodontics make it possible to treat patients of all ages, offering various types of braces. At our clinic, an orthodontic specialist works with children and adults, fitting fixed braces, removable braces and treating with overlays.
Straight and white teeth seem unattainable to many people. There is a perception that getting the smile of your dreams requires many sacrifices, is long and very expensive. But what if it turns out that this is a thing of the past and getting the effect of a beautiful smile, as from an advertisement, does not have to be so difficult?
Today’s dentistry increasingly focuses not on individual teeth but on a comprehensive look at the oral cavity. As a result, once decay or periodontal disease has been treated, therapy can be followed up with orthodontic treatments and cosmetic dentistry, which does not have to mean treatment that drags on for years. At Mio-Dent, we have the means and options for a much faster, non-invasive method of straightening teeth.
Clear Aligners
Clear Aligner is a state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment system using trays that do not interfere with daily life. The patient receives a set of three clear overlays designed for four weeks of use. Each is to be worn about 20 hours a day, pulling them off for eating, drinking and cleaning. Unlike standard orthodontic treatment, the lack of pain is very important for high aesthetics. The overlays provide patients with a high level of comfort, and the desired results can be achieved after just a few months.
The treatment process is tailored to each case and determined based on an initial diagnosis and a conversation with the patient. During the analysis, the doctor determines whether the defect qualifies for Clear Aligner treatment. Before starting, the patient is presented with a treatment plan, information about the cost, duration of treatment and the results that can be achieved. All this is determined individually for each person, depending on the situation in the oral cavity.
Retention
Once the defect has been corrected, the final stage – retention – follows. This an extremely important phase of treatment, without which the results achieved may be lost. The retention trays, worn diligently, ensure the intended result is maintained. Introducing the Clear Aliner method into a comprehensive therapy, combined with other therapeutic and aesthetic treatments, will provide patients with a beautiful smile and the healthy and proper functioning of the oral cavity.
